Job Description

The Associate Implementation Specialist will execute the configuration and support the deployment of a new practice or department per best practices and within the project timeframe established by the Lead Implementation Specialist and Project Manager.

Key Internal Relationships

The Associate Implementation Specialist will work closely with peers around the company, primarily:

  • Lead Implementation Specialist who will design and document requirements for new system configurations and handle exceptions
  • Project Managers to ensure that their time and other’s time is appropriately allocated and planned for
  • Other Implementation Specialists: Constant collaboration on how improve the efficiency and quality of results
  • Product Team to continuously improve OpenTempo to improve the efficiency of the build process and allow customers to do more of the work on their own

  • Completes most assigned execution tasks on his/her own.
  • Knows what he/she doesn’t know and appropriately seeks help from senior resources on topics that are complicated or not well understood
  • Constantly seeks out ways to improve existing processes, tools and product
  • Builds and maintains constructive relationships with internal staff

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Accurately build OpenTempo systems per documented System Requirements using all OpenTempo features, configuration options and best practices
  • Apply the latest best practices and conventions during the build process so that systems are built in a uniform fashion
  • Stay up-to-date on all product changes in monthly releases, particularly ones that change existing build strategies or can improve ones in-process
  • Document the setup, conventions, rules etc. with a level of detail that allows the Client Services team to easily and accurately service the system after transition
  • Interpret a set of requirements and ask clarifying questions to ensure that the requested system will meet expectations
  • Seek help from senior resources on topics that are complicated or not well understood
  • Handle exceptions when requested system design does not meet best practices
  • Escalate issues through the appropriate channels; classify problems as product, configuration, training or process and recommend appropriate corrections
  • Proactively work with the Lead Implementation Specialist and Project Manager to adjust timelines appropriately
  • Suggest and act on ideas to continuously improve the product and/or internal processes, particularly ones related to lower the effort required by OpenTempo during the system build process
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with key Project Managers/Lead Implementation Specialist that are working as team members on each implementation
  • Provide status updates as per company guidelines to project teams
  • Up to 25% travel may be required

  • Ability to handle a variety of different tasks simultaneously, and capable of managing multiple deadlines
  • Ability to build and maintain positive and productive relationships
  • Ability to take direction and work independently
  • Ability to work outside of the traditional 8:00 – 5:00 work-day when necessary or requested to do so
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Classification

  • The Associate Implementation Specialist job is a salaried, exempt position.
