PRACTICE MANAGEMENT 2019 is fast approaching
Whether you are getting ahead of things and formulating your learning plan for PRACTICE MANAGEMENT 2019 in Las Vegas, or waiting until the New Year, the show will be here before you know it (January 18-20, 2019). That’s why we wanted to put together this guide to help you plan and make the most of your time at the show.
We have been participating in the American Society of Anesthesiologist’s PRACTICE MANAGEMENT shows since 2014, and we have some helpful tips for first-timers and veterans alike. The PRACTICE MANAGEMENT 2019 website has plenty of helpful resources to prepare you for the show and we wanted to share some of our favorites!
Here are some of the sessions that we at OpenTempo are looking forward to the most:
Leading Value – Creating a Vision of Service – Identifying Initiatives and Opportunities for Improvement – James Mesrobian, M.D., FASA
Patients are the lifeline of any medical practice, so how do you attract and retain them? How does your practice create a vision of service? We don’t know, which is why we’re excited for this one!
When: Friday, January 18, 7:30 – 8:15 a.m.
O.R. Capacity – Allocating a Valuable Resource – Basics of Block Scheduling – John P. Lawrence, M.D. M.E.d
Dr. Lawrence is a thought leader in the area of capacity management and strategies to align clinical staffing levels to expected patient demand. Labor costs represent the largest single operating cost for any healthcare delivery system, so ensuring clinical resources are deployed effectively is crucial to operational success. We at OpenTempo share Dr. Lawrence’s passion on OR capacity management, so we are anxious to hear how a block scheduling strategy will support success in the OR.
When: Friday, January 18, 10:05 – 10:40 a.m.
Health System Consolidation – Strategies for Anesthesiology Practices - James R. Mesrobian, M.D., FASA, Lois Connolly, M.D., FASA, John P.Lawrence, M.D., M.Ed., Brian M. Parker, M.D., Keith J. Chamberlin, M.D., M.B.A., FASA
As Anesthesiology practices struggle to survive in a competitive environment burdened with rising costs and shrinking reimbursements, consolidation by larger practices and health systems is the growing trend. It’s going to be an interesting two-hour session hearing the perspectives and insights on consolidation trends and implications from these industry leaders.
When: Friday, January 18, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
